From Aberdeen take the A96 (north towards Inverness)  to just outside Huntly then follow the A97 signposted Banff.

From Banff follow the A98 towards Fraserburgh through Macduff and turn left just outside Macduff onto the B3091 signposted Gardenstown.

Once into Gardenstown keep going down into the village until there is a sign for Main Street to the left (a post box & telephone box are in front of you) Go along Main Street until you reach the front of the Garden Arms Hotel.  Seilie Cottage is facing the hotel on the terrace above.  (the cottage is painted white with green around the windows)
